Me and You - 500 words

I didn't expect this ending. I was very surprised about the meeting. Before I finished reading this book, I was expecting that Lorenzo and Olivia live together after the ski week.
I was expecting that they will live together because in the basement, I thought their relationship was getting closer and they learned about each other. For example, the last night at basement, “she lay down next to me and hugged me tightly” (Niccolo Amaniti, pg145). This is telling us that they have very close relationship and they like each other as siblings.
But their relationship wasn't good at beginning. When Olivia asked Lorenzo, “I mean that I don’t have anywhere to sleep”(Niccolo Amaniti, pg82). But Lorenzo said, “You’ll mess everything up. There isn’t any room. It’s dangerous. I’m here undercover. I can’t open the door for you. Go somewhere else. In fact, I’ve got an idea. Ring the buzzer upstairs. They’ll put you up in the guest room. You’ll be much more comfortable”(Niccolo Amaniti, pg83). This showing us that how much did Lorenzo hate Olivia at this time and how much didn't he want her in the basement. So their relationship wasn't good at all. So at this time, I was expecting that their relationship won't get closer and they will fight at end of the book.
Whatever, their real was still bad after lore son let her into the basement. Olivia was trying to control Lorenzo. For example, she was asking Lorenzo to say, “Repeat. I swear on my parents’ lives that I will be Olivia Cuni’s slave”(Niccolo Amaniti, pg97). This is showing that she wanted to control Lorenzo and it also tells us that their relationship isn't good yet.
Anyway, Olivia and Lorenzo’s relationship getting closer few days later. Olivia was addicted to heroin and her body was very bad. She was vomitting in the bathroom, her body had lots of pain, and she couldn't sleep. Lorenzo was starting fell bad for her. And this emotion will make their relationship better. When Lorenzo started feel bad for Olivia, “I hugged her and leaned my forehead against her neck, my nose on her collarbone, and I burst into tears”(Niccolo Amaniti, pg 110). I was suprised about this. Lorenzo does t touch people a lot. He does t show emotion to people. This is showing how much was Lorenzo worrying about Olivia and this is the when their relationship stated become better.
From this event, I started to expect that they will stay together after the ski week. But my expectation wasn't right. At end of the story, Olivia left Lorenzo at basement. She was gone when Lorenzo woke up. 10 years later, Lorenzo was at hotel. He was going to meet Olivia. They didn't see each other for 10 years. Olivia was already died but I think Lorenzo was happy to see her again.
After I finished this book, I learned few things from Lorenzo's story. One thing is to have close people is making better life. Lorenzo said that he likes to be alone but for me, it seems like he had fun with people more thnn being alone. Also I should lie to people. Lie is making life worse. In this book, small lies became big lie. So I should lie in my life. I learned these things from the book.

Read chapter 5 and 6. Answer the questions

Lorenzo doesn't want Olivia to stay with him. There are three reasons that why he doesn't want to stay with her. First one is he doesn't have enough room for two people. It's basement so I think it wasn't big enough for two people and also he has only one bad. Also he didn't have enough food for two people. If Olivia stay with him, they won't have enough food later. The next reason is the room organezed very well. But Lorenzo thought that if he let her in, she will make the room messy. Everything was perfect in there so Lorenzo didn't want Olivia mess it all. I think this is one of another reason of why he doesn't want to stay with Olivia. When he found and read the letter from Olivia to her father, he was very disappointed to her. Her father helped Olivia a lot but she wasn't appreciate a lot. I think Lorentz was little mad because he thinks that Olivia was not deserve to get help from her father.
He initially to allow her to stay because Olivia told Lorenzo that she is going to yell that Lorenzo is in the basement at outside. But Lorenzo thought that she won't say it, but she actually did really loud. She yelled, “‘Listen up, everyone! Can you hear me? A boy is hiding in the cellar. It’s Lorenzo Cuni, who’s pretending to be away on ski week . . . Hello . . .”  Lorenzo was very upset and told her to stop. She asked Lorenzo that if he want her to stop yelling, he should let her in. Lorenzo accepted the offer and opened the main door of the house and let her into the basement.
Lorenzo began to feel sorry for Olivia and wanted to help her. First reason is she was very tired. In the book, it says, “Olivia was curled up on the settee and was sleeping with her face squashed up against a grubby cushion. She must have been really tired.” it tells us she is very tired too. Then he decided that let her stay here little bit more because she is very tired. When she woke up, she said her body is very hurt and Lorenzo thought she got flu. I think this is the reason of why he wanted to help. He told her to go to hospital and get out from the basement but I think he was worrying about her too.  Next reason is she helped him. When Lorenzo’s mom called Lorenzo, he was very nervous because he didn't call her and he knew that she wants to talk to Alessia’s mother. He answered and she told Lorenzo that she wants to talk to her. Lorenzo told Olivia to pretend like Alessia's mother and talk to her. Alessia did it for him and his mother believed that it was actually Alessia's mother. Lorenzo appreciated Olivia a lot. So I think he felt sorry for her because she helped him but he didn't help her so he let Olivia stay there. Another reason is she was sick. After she raced to Lorenzo's mother, she vomited into her hands. She was sick because she was very tired. He was vomiting in the bathroom. Lorenzo was worrying about what kind of illness does she have. She had malaria. She was laying down but she kept moving whole times and make some sounds. Then she went to bathroom again. Lorenzo felt bad for Olivia and he wanted to help her more. These reasons are why Lorenzo felt sorry for Olivia and wanted to help her.

Winter Break

Once upon a time, I was in the Detroit, Michigan for hockey games. I went to there with my teammates and coaches. It was December 30th, so our team wasn't happy to have games on break.
We had one game at the day and the team is from LosAngels. I heard that the team is sly.

The game started, we understood why people call them sly. They hurt my teammates when the referee wasn't watching. So the referee didn't take penalty. It was very frustrating. We tried to not care about them because if we did same thing as them, the referee would take penalties. Whatever, they were very good too, we were losing 3-0. We still had three minutes, so we tried to score goal. When I was trying to get puck against opponent defense, the opponent guy slashed my knee with his stick. It was my bad knee to so it was so hurt. I yelled at him and he pushed me again.

I was very mad and started fight with him. I punched the kid with my whole power in his face. I knocked down the kid. The referee stopped the fight and put me in the penalty box. I felt so fresh because all my stresses went to out from my body. We lost the game but fighting is the one of fun thing in a hockey game, so it was very exciting event for me.
